The MercedesTrophy is a world-renowned golfing tournament that dates back to 1989. It has developed into the most fascinating premium amateur golf series worldwide, with around 60,000 players competing each yeah in over 30 countries.

The MercedesTrophy is an international three-tier structured amateur golf series with one common goal for all participants: qualification for the MercedesTrophy World Final in Germany.

New Zealand's Premiere Golfing Tournament

Here in New Zealand, local events are held - such as our event at North Shore Golf Course to determine the players that will go through to the New Zealand National Final at Millbrook Resort, Queenstown.

Finalists from that event then take part in the MercedesTrophy World Final at the 'birthplace of the automobile', Stuttgart, Germany.

A massive congratulations to Mercedes-Benz North Shore representatives Fangyi Zho (Akarana GC), with an incredible 87 points and Xu Han (Wainui GC), close behind with 66 points, for coming first and second place respectively at the National Final.

2016 MercedesTrophy Results

Representing Mercedes-Benz North Shore at the National Final will be Alice Yh Wei from North Shore Golf Club, who recorded an outstanding 39 stableford points on the day. The second representative will be Peter Northcott from Waipu Golf Club who also competed strongly throughout his round to finish one point behind, on 38 points. The third and final competitor at Millbrook Resort will be Michael Yung Na who managed a respectable 35 stableford points.

2015 MercedesTrophy Results

Congratulations to John Rowland, Stuart Hale and David Li who represented New Zealand at the World Final on October 3rd, 4th and 5th, placing second in the prestigious Nations Cup after three thrilling rounds, finishing on 195 points.
